Have you ever tried to make changes, to your diet, to your finances, to your schedule. You get excited, make a plan and are ready to start. You have a huge list of things you want to change and a few days or a week in you are over extended and exhausted. That’s pretty much the story of my life. Making permanent change is hard, and I think I have been going about it all wrong. Trying to do everything at once is the problem. It’s not me, it’s not you, it’s not a matter of will power. Trying to change everything is overwhelming and you don’t have the chance to ever make any real change.
So there is a new plan! Do one thing. Just pick one, at the most two simple things that you want to improve. This was part of the picking one, I sat down and made a list of the changes I want to make and distill that list down to the one most important change that will allow the other changes to happen. For me focusing on my health first is the one change that will allow the other changes to happen. I have spent the last several years feeling terrible so I know that health fist is my best bet. I want to have more energy, I want to lose weight, I want to be more patient and entertain more.
So this week my Baby Steps are getting to bed by 10pm and my secondary step is making sure I follow my supplement regiment. Part of me keeping up with my baby steps is tracking my progress and holding myself accountable. So I have gotten my weekly baby steps listed at the bottom of my Erin Condren Rose Gold Life Planner and I am ready to go. I hope you enjoy the pictures of my planner this week and my layout for July. Have a great week you guys and I want to hear about your baby steps, what is that one change that will start of your Better Life journey?? I will be updating my progress as I check off my boxes all week long as I get through the week.
