PopSugar Box & Giveaway | January 2016

Enjoy this {late} Unboxing of January’s PopSugar Box. Because I have been having so much fun with Giveaways I can’t wait to do another one. So hit the little info button and you can enter the giveaway! Enjoy!!!

I have read both of Mari Kondo’s books, and while that process is a story for another post, the short version is that those books work. Her method, the KonMari method works. It gives you the ability, structure and freedom to release the things that don’t bring you joy in reducing the clutter in your life. It isn’t about just reducing the clutter in your space, her method begins to spill over into other areas of your life and it’s amazing. That is why I want to giveaway these books and the planner together because it is everything you need to plan your next year to be a better year, a more organized year. Enjoy!!

If you are interested in registering for PopSugar there is a good deal right now if you use eBates and then Register for PopSugar because you will get a percentage back from eBates (who doesn’t love that!)

Let’s get to the fun bit!!

Planner Addict Sept 2015 (1 of 8) Septembers Planner Addict box had a wonderful gold theme. Adding a little gold foil to my planner always makes me smile. I am also really looking forward to trying the White Chai tea that was included in this months box!

The Seven Pages stickers are a lovely gold on a clear background so they can be layered or just show your page through. They are all a great square shape and a size that is perfect for the daily or monthly Erin Condren boxes. From pencils to phones to airplanes, you are going to make productivity look easy and beautiful with these gold foil sticker icons. The Project Life cards 12 Pack from Becky Higgins are also beautifully gold foiled. The included card says ‘You are definitely getting the gold foil treatment with this pack of journaling cards. Use them to create to do lists, copy down a new recipe, or just to pretty up your planner.’

The stamps are from Shimelle…It’s time to stamp it up in your next planning session. Decorating your planner just got a little bit better with these adorable acrylic stamps. I haven’t been into stamping in the past, but using these flat acrylic stamps makes them easy to store and easy to use. I love the vintage camera and of course the ‘Absolutely’!  I haven’t seen a Washi Tape book like the one from Amy Tangerine before but the variety of pre cut wash is awesome. It also makes it easy to have lots of kinds without the rolls taking up loads of space. I can’ t wait to crack this open and use it! Dear Lizzy Scrap Book Pages-Use these scrapbook pages from the Serendipity collection to make new dividers, dashboards or not pages in your planner, either way these designs are sure to brighten anyone’s day. They are a lot of fun, I will likely punch them out for my planner or to decorate gift bags.

The Dear Lizzy embellishments are my FAVORITE thing this month. They are whimsical in gold, pink and teal. They are so on point for what I am enjoying right now that it’s silly. The glasses, cameras and sayings! My only challenge with these will be actually using them. I tend to hold onto things that I love and not use them. But I am trying to break the habit!

This September box is really enjoyable and I can’t wait to get planning! Happy Planning to you Planner Nerds!!!

Better Life Baby Steps — creating change one week at a time

Better Life Baby Steps — creating change one week at a time

Have you ever tried to make changes, to your diet, to your finances, to your schedule. You get excited, make a plan and are ready to start. You have a huge list of things you want to change and a few days or a week in you are over extended and exhausted. That’s pretty much the story of my life. Making permanent change is hard, and I think I have been going about it all wrong. Trying to do everything at once is the problem. It’s not me, it’s not you, it’s not a matter of will power. Trying to change everything is overwhelming and you don’t have the chance to ever make any real change.

So there is a new plan! Do one thing. Just pick one, at the most two simple things that you want to improve. This was part of the picking one, I sat down and made a list of the changes I want to make and distill that list down to the one most important change that will allow the other changes to happen. For me focusing on my health first is the one change that will allow the other changes to happen. I have spent the last several years feeling terrible so I know that health fist is my best bet. I want to have more energy, I want to lose weight, I want to be more patient and entertain more.

So this week my Baby Steps are getting to bed by 10pm and my secondary step is making sure I follow my supplement regiment. Part of me keeping up with my baby steps is tracking my progress and holding myself accountable. So I have gotten my weekly baby steps listed at the bottom of my Erin Condren Rose Gold Life Planner and I am ready to go. I hope you enjoy the pictures of my planner this week and my layout for July. Have a great week you guys and I want to hear about your baby steps, what is that one change that will start of your Better Life journey?? I will be updating my progress as I check off my boxes all week long as I get through the week.
